The Tiger Rant has some crazy candidates listed so I ask the posters on the sec rant. Who do you think are realistic choices?

For Pioneer: Dana Altman
Dan Hipsher
John Pelphrey
Travis Ford
Steve Fisher
Rick Majerus

Agree/Disagree?

It will be golden if they get Fisher. LSU fans can not smack their gums about Cal being a cheat.

People will always just call it as they see it. Obviously you don't even have much respect for your coach if you call him Cal and do not address him as Coach.

Wasnt that the viable coaching candidate list for Arkansas after Heath was fired. I mean, you hired two of them in Altman and Pelphrey. If you are going to flame at least put together a list of losers that your own school didn't go after.

Serious answer to your question: depends on how much money Aleva and the board decide to spend. SCarolina opened the check book and made a really nice hire as Arkansas did last year.

Realistic possible names: Jamie Dixon, Steve Prohm, Johnny Jones, Gregg Marshall. Really, who the F knows, but there is a start for you.

Marshall isn't leaving WSU...he's just very content there until a REAL big name comes calling. No offense, in basketball, LSU isn't a big name.

However, I hear Ron Jirsa is looking for another head coaching job...

I think it's time to bring Johnny Jones home

guy has won 20 or more games at North Texaas for like 5 years running or some crazy shit

I know the past issues, I also know Lester Earl told the NCAA he lied about all that and not a word has been heard about Jones at NT

Frankly, it could not be any worse than Trent, who I thought at the time was a great hire but I was clearly wrong

Bring the man home and let's get the Deaf Dome back
