If Arkansas can not do it this year then we probably never will

Having LSU and Bama at home this year we should win at least one of them if not both but if we get hammered again this year by both Bama and LSU then we should come to the realization that Bear Bryant, Jimmy Johnson, Hell the great Vince Lombardi could not ever win a National Championship for us.
We have to just win one of them and that is it. Punch Saban in the mouth or trip Les when he gets off the bus. Whatever it takes to get one of those games we must do.

I disagree. You've shown in the past that you can win the west (then get whooped by the east, but make it to ATL anyway). The problem is that bama and LSU are really, really strong right now. It sucks because this is one of your best eras too, but you're going to have trouble with those 2 being so high right now. Yall will eventually win the west again, someday..but it will be in large part due to bama and lsu dropping off some.

We might do it this year, or might not - but I don't have any doubt that as long as CBP and staff are here, we are in contention every year from now on. Also, I don't think we are through building yet, we've come a long ways but still have some quality depth to build on defense and OL especially.
It's coming.

Still don't have the defense, that's really what it's going to take. Petrino has to recruit the kinds of guys he does on offense for defense. Arky is still just not even remotely close to the talent levels as an LSU or Bama defensively...you can't get away in this league with just a good offense, unless you simply have a guy who can take over a game for you...which is like a once in a decade type of player (for the the league).

I think many years this could very well be our year, but unfortunately LSU will most likely be as good, if not better, than last season. It's just bad timing that when we are at new heights while a couple other teams from our division alone are also firing on all cylinders.
