if KY can pull it out this weekend; and I'd take UF winning it all in Omaha this June.

This year's UK team is eerily similar to the '96 team. The SEC also got the trifecta in '96.

#1 for almost the entire season. Several lottery picks. Won the SEC Reg Season title, but not the SEC Tourney. Etc

The 1996 team was better, though. That was probably the best team in modern CBB history.

They only had two losses. One to UMASS in late Nov, and to State in the SEC Tourney CG.

So, there's even more similarities.

Yeah, but did the 96 team have a player that could pick his toe jam without bending over?

Seriously?

You're gonna flame me for saying an ancient unlv team wasnt as good as a ancient kentucky team?

seriously?

go get stump fricked on the 50 yard line at neyland. It would be the most entertaining thing to happen in that dump in recent history.

Is that one of the years they had to vacate but never implicated Coach Cal?

I'm a Coach Cal fan, but you gotta admit the mayhem that follows him is humurous... well, from an outsiders POV.

Wasn't the same school year though. Nebraska won the championship in football for 95, though for a couple months we did hold all 3 between the 97 Sugar Bowl and the 97 Final Four
