In Houston tonight the Sports guy on Channel 13 said the Aggies are raising the ticket prices by $50/game and $25/game for students. That would work out to roughly $3.8 mil. per game. Not sure what the old prices were but can you imagine what the Rant would do if LSU raised their prices that amount?? Oh my!!

Meh, I guess it could be worse.

What's average for a student football season pass in the SEC?

That's still very reasonable IMO, especially when you consider the quality of opponents that will now be visiting

How many TAMU students attend games and how many sky boxes do you have?

I think there is a disconnect somewhere.

Arkansas used to be $1 a game and $2 for Little Rock. Now it's $65 for everything.

I have to admit, I haven't kept up with this lately, but Arkansas students pay far less.

We also don't have student activity fee.

Arkansas and Bama have the most boxes, both have a long waiting list and both are adding more.

Only school in the country to not have one too.

I know they say that but damn they raised tuition like $25 a credit hour this year. The entire time being here I don't remember it raising more than $5 dollars each year.

Please note that a price increase of $50 has been implemented for all ticket options, with the 2012 pricing structure being bench ($450), armchair ($485), club ($520), and suite ($520) tickets. Implementation of SEC rules regarding visiting team allotments and student seating have reduced the traditional footprint of discount season ticket locations. Discount season tickets will not be renewed for the 2012 season. However, discount season ticket holders will be given priority should they want to upgrade to full-price ticket options in 2012.

Also, all seats now require a donation to the 12th Man Foundation and all minimum donations will increase by 5%. If you were getting discounted season tickets before, you are looking at an increase from $300 to somewhere between $500-$550 per seat for nosebleed seats.

Got to pay to play, I suppose, but it is a lot more money for quite a few season ticket holders.

Arkansas students still pay less now than it was back in the 1990s. There's a lot more students now overall, too.

I don't believe that Alabama charges athletic student fees.
