Gator Nation in North Carolina

Just moved to Raleigh, NC a few months ago. I've noticed alot of the young kids wearing Florida Gator jackets, shirts or caps (beside the usual Duke, UNC and NC State gear.) Looking at this past recruiting class, Florida signed a few big names from NC. Just wondering is there other areas of the country where SEC schools has such a large influence, other than SEC country.
