As long as he beats Ole Miss and goes to and wins bowl games our fans tend to not mind losing to the past three SEC/National champs and BCS at large teams

I see MSU fans answer this question daily. I don't understand how people can't get that different schools have different expectations. Trent Johnson would not still be coaching at UK, and Mark Richt be hailed as the greatest coach of all time if he had his same record at MSU.

Expectations, sure. But reality even more so. We play in a division that has 3 and at times 4 top 10-15 teams in it. You look at our 2 deep roster and look at the 2 deep rosters of Alabama, Auburn (at times), Arkansas and LSU. How many players on our 2 deep would be on a 2 deep at either of those schools? As long as those schools are churning out top 10 recruiting classes and we get all giddy about a top 20 recruiting class, then we will probably continue to lose to at least 3 of the 4 mentioned. Are we happy about it? Absolutely not! We were on the cusp against Auburn 2 years running. Played LSU as closely as anyone last year. Took Arkansas to OT the year before. You get really tired of losing those kinds of games. But when you step back and look at it - we probably had no excuse for being in some of those games other than just guts and hard work. Still though - it's frustrating as hell!

LOL @ your list that doesn't include Mark Richt. His coaching performance during the bowl game pretty much negated anything good that happened during the regular season.

Trent is a little warmer than just regular warm imo. Fans are "MEH" and it seems like the team is "MEH"

Will Muschamp if he doesnt do any better than 500 again.

3rd OC in 3 years is not a good sign. They said they will keep CW's playbook and the new OC would have to learn that language so as not to confuse their players. Real smart players........will not be bowl qualified again........

Saban might be on the hotseat next Nov if he loses to Mile 3 times in the regular season, although one of the losses didn't happen in regulation. Amirite?

Serious question, what is the temperature of Chizik's seat at Auburn if he goes 8-5 again next year?

AU wins 10 games next year so this question is irrelevant. Auburn was 120th (dead last) in the nation in returning starters last season. The SEC will not get that lucky again.
