For sure, I was shocked when he committed that early. Signing day 2013 is far away, plenty of teams will be making a push to try and flip him through out the year but he's solid....

quote:

“I'm solid with them,” James said. “I love Arkansas. I'm a diehard Arkansas fan and a diehard commit. I love the atmosphere, the school and I love the coaching staff. They're pretty cool. Coach K (Chris Klenakis) had me hyped just to be there.”

Read somewhere that he's great friends with Jamel James. Offer from Texas already. LINK

In state MUST gets at this point to me: Austin Allen and Hunter Henry. May be a couple more emerge during the season.

I hope more emerge. 2012 appeared to be pretty weak for in-state talent.

The 2013 class is, supposedly, one of the best in state classes we've ever had.

I know we have James committed, but we need to get Tenpenny. I don't care if he didn't grow up a hog fan. He's in our backyard, surrounded by hog fans. And he'll be 5*. I'm sick and tired of losing a great player out of Arkansas every year.

You LR people need to start getting in his ear or something. I don't know. But we can't continue to let the few elite prospects we have go elsewhere.

If Tenpenny doesn't want to be here, it's better for him to go.

James is a stud RB. A STUD. He loves the Hogs and will probably be damn close to a 5 star after the summer camps. He is unreal

Agreed. But we need to make him want to be here.

He's an instate stud. Can't let those get out of here anymore.

So, WPS20, where do you think some of these guys project star wise? Off the top of your head, which ones are likely 4/5 stars?

Tenpenny and Henry will both be 4* and maybe even 5* who knows. Both might be a top 100 prospects as well.

Yeah, i knew Tenpenny was a 4* on 24/7. I think Henry has a chance at 5* but that seems very rare for TE's.

Some guy said that Henry is big on Florida and Bama. Any truth to that? I'm sick of these kids not even giving the hogs a chance.

Austin Allen will be a 4* as well I am sure. If he played in Texas or Florida he would probably get the 5*.

Honestly, if Allen stays uncommitted it'll do wonders for his "stars." Brandon was pretty much ignored because of his legacy. If more people think they have a shot at him, the more evaluations, the more offers, the more stars, etc, etc.

Have any of you seen Tenpenny play? He's a freak athlete, but I won't be surprised if Bama wants him for defense. Granted, it was two years ago, but I wasn't overly impressed with him as a RB the two times I saw him.
