Sorry. From Tulane's former Rivals guy who is now a beat writer for Advocate and others...

#Tulane has landed its first four-star recruit in 10 years, as Darion Monroe switches from #Aggies to Green Wave. Huge snag by CJ. Wow.

All I can do is laugh at this point... in the past 24 hours, we have lost 4* Darion Monroe to Tulane (WTF??), 4* Bralon Addison to Oregon, and 3* Corey Thompson to LSU

Bunch of Oklahoma State guys have been saying they flipped Trey Williams for months, and that was completely false. Anything more official than a tweet? I don't want to believe you, though I'm afraid you may be right anyway. Just trying to deny it.

Tulane
CJ will make it difficult on programs going into New Orleans and getting players that used to head out of state.

Which is good for Tulane they shouldn't be as bad as they are.

After a prosperous visit to Tulane this past weekend, SportsNola.com has learned that East St. John star Darion Monroe has switched his commitment to Tulane from Texas A&M. Wildcats Head Coach Phil Banko confirmed the change.

"Darion will stay home and play for the Green Wave," said Banko. "He and his mom are very comfortable and solid with the decision. He really enjoyed his visit and liked the coaches at Tulane."

Tulane will let him play QB. Hence the change.

This class will be made or broken by the rumored (potential) flips tomorrow....if we lose these guys and don't have any positive surprises, this goes down as a rough start for the new staff.

Some thing Ridgeway from texas (4 star DT) is still in play....we'll see.

Darion wants to stay close to home obviously.....there is also a reason why LSU never offered him.

Where are you reading or hearing this. Per the linked article from his coach...
quote:

"I don't tell kids where to go," said Banko. "Darion will graduate from Tulane. That degree will clearly help him down the line. He has the grades and the aptitude. He feels he can make a mark on the program as a cornerback and kick return specialist."
TIA

He got squeezed a bit by numbers at LSU with Thomas, Randolph, Raymond, and Mills all getting early offers and committing early. Also didn't help that LSU signed 4 DB's last year, too.

Plus, I don't think he ever really wanted to get far from home.

He is a good solid player.

A&M has had a very strange recruiting year so far...

Decommits:

Jevele Edwards
Davante Bourque
Lorenzo Phillips
Eric Davis
Colin Blake
Corey Thompson
Brailon Addison (not yet)
Darion Monroe
Michael Wilson
Eddie Porter
Marcus Johnson (forget about him)

Grade Drops:
Jaevon richardson
Marion Grice
Logan David
Trent Momon
Adrian Bellard
Troy Green

Sounds like they are a place holder school..

Yep..your right on Ridgeway...nothing to see....only visited A&M two weekends in a row. Lied to the sip recruting sites about taking visits to A&M then finally admitted after being forced to....I am sure he is telling the sip webisites exactly what they want to hear....he is probably still going to t.u. but there is smoke..no doubt.
