WOW. Terrible job and they even admitted some things in the letter that the prosecution would have had to prove.

They mad.

Probably not a good idea to call out the DA either.

Eh, the tape bears out what it bears out...

This thing is destined for a plea deal. Use the court of public opinion like the DA is..

Not sure if you knew this, but there is a video of the incident.

with the New Orleans murder rate disturbingly high

While I don't condone the Krystal baller's actions, I have said from day one that NOPD had bigger things to worry about i.e. the murder rate.

Kinda sad to deflect to the crime rate in NOLA. Almost as if it is OK that smaller "victimless" crimes go on. I still haven't seen any evidence that the LSU fan was drunk. Sure, we can all assume he is, but you never know.

Even so, I would have made them go through and prove the elements of the crime and raised doubt anywhere I could about whether or not it was actually him, did the balls actually touch the victim, etc, etc.

Agreed, it's not like the 18 y.o. is going to come out publicly and push for more.

I don't like the idea of a police department ignoring a crime when they have the case fall into their lap like that.
