I thought I saw somewhere that Stephen Rivers, younger bro to Phillip Rivers, was pushing Mett for the job next year. Is he as good as his bro? I know he's like 6'6" but I thought he was a little lean. Would hate to face someone of that efficiency for 4yrs. Thoughts?

If Stephen Rivers turns out to be a stud like his brother and Bama passed on 2 in state NFL QB's, I will be pissed.

He will gain weight and coordination while in college. it is called maturing. Now will he ever develop inot a legtimate passer, that is a whole different story. If Les leaves, maybe, otherwise I have my doubts.

They have simulated practices and Rivers has a completion % of 72 and Mett's is 58. EA Sports It's in the game!

Not Rivers.

The other kid, Randall I think, could be pushing Mett. He is mobile and has a cannon for an arm. You know how Les loves his mobile QBs

He looks like he should be driving an old van with "free candy" spray painted on the side. As far as football goes, unless he has really improved, he'll never start a game for LSU. I was highly surprised when they actually let him sign and commit back in the day. Seriously doubt he's ever as good as his brother, or even near as good, but I do think his brother having success actually helped Stephen get recruited. They saw the Rivers name and drooled about it.

Randall, the other freshman QB will likely be a solid 2nd teamer coming out of spring. Looks a lot like Thomas of Oregon on film.

That's nice that LSU gave the banjo playing kid from Deliverance a Football Scholarship.
