What are the odds that losing to Bama in the title game has the same effect on LSU as it did on Texas?

If looking at it objectively it seems Texas was in better shape headed into 2010 but nobody foresaw them going 5-7 and firing coaches by years end

Meltdown would be legit.

I don't think so. I would compare them to 2009 Alabama (pissed off from the year before and seeking vengeance).

I didn't add the popcorn in the op because it would be too obvious. I'll just sit back and enjoy the rational, well thought out conversation.

I think it's a legit topic

Beeen that way. Saban made Brown and Urban Meyer quit by beating their undefeated teams in Title games.

Honestly, I hate to say it, but not that far fetched.
The difference is (not counting losing players), Texas lost in a close game after losing it star player. LSU lost in a beat down, which has given the fans and I'm sure the coaching staff a bad taste in their mouth.

LSU will either come off stronger than last year, or potentially a long long year.

UT lost McCoy after that season. LSU is losing Jefferson. That alone makes this comparison stupid.

Either I am confused or Jefferson legally changed his name to star
