Scored by Oregon and West Virginia in the Rose and Orange bowls. Penn State, Alabama's only non-conference bowl opponent, scored 14 points vs. Houston in the Ticketcity Bowl. That's why you can't look at the defensive statistics as though they are apples to apples.

They are not comparing our defenses versus common opponents(Florida, Tennesse and the west). If they were the would see LSu averaged 6.75 vs our common opponents, and Bama average 7.25.

You can't be this stupid to not understand that he is trying to point out that LSU's overall defensive rankings are skewed by having played out of conference games against 2 of the nations most prolific offenses....(Oregon #5 in rushing and #3 in scoring and total offense, WVU # 7 in passing and #17 in scoring) while Bama's signature OOC win is against a team that ranked #95 in passing, #110 in scoring and could only hang 14 on Conference USA opponent in their bowl game?
