Bama's first drive stalls at LSU's 36yd line. What does Nick do?

Brilliant coaching move.

Saban knew his kicker would miss and what better way to claim you're really the better team when you lose by saying "But we missed FGs!!"

The problem with attempting a FG is that if the kicker misses (which most kickers will from that range), doubt sets in because it will start feeling like Nov 5 again.

Go for the first down. LSU's offense is no threat to drive the field so no harm in going for it.

Probably right, but our defense is a threat to score. Especially in a 3rd/4th and long situation.

Angle punt. LSU starts inside the 20 or if it goes inside the EZ, then LSU has it at the 20.

Long count, multiple motions, try to draw LSU offsides. Take the delay. Punt the ball.

LSU declines the delay. Touchback. 16 yard net punt

I can live with that all day.

Go for the FG attempt. I don't give a shite about nov. 5th and I'm 100% certain Nick doesn't either.

FG Options > non FG options. I don't care if you miss 4/5... just gotta hit 1-2 in a game...
