Has any pro/college team from the same state....

Been Super Bowl Champs/National Champs in the same year? The only one i could think of would be some florida team but i can't remember...I know the state of florida has some big schools like UF,FSU and Miami as well as the bucs, fins and (lol)jaguars
Would anything be as awesome as LSU winning the National Championship and the Saints winning the super bowl in the same year?? That would make for a mardi gras experience of a LIFETIME

Alabama won the National Title when the Saints won the Super Bowl. They aren't in the same state obviously, but Bama is my favorite team in college, and the Saints are my favorite team in the NFL, so you could only imagine how much fun I had.

I don't hate Louisiana. New Orleans is where I eventually want to retire.

Um, i never said it would happen either..i simply asked if it has happened before, and said how awesome it would be if it DID happen here
BTW, it certainly has a good chance of happening. LSU is close to winning another national title, and the saints have a good chance of going far in the playoffs..and when did green bay ever "destroy" the saints? I seem to remember it being a very good ball game

LSU isn't close to winning a title...you still have one really big game left....remember that...we're not Oklahoma State.

I don't root for the saints...I really don't like the NFL THATTTTT much...I'll watch games..but I don't really have a favorite team.

I could understand. Your state does not have NFL football. Makes it a little more of a passion whenever you do, however.
