Sandlappers dismiss one player from team

Columbia High WR Casey Gladney was removed from the South Carolina Shrine Bowl team Tuesday for a violation of team rules. According to a source, the violation did not involved drugs, alcohol, or any illegal activity but was related to the presence of Gladney’s girlfriend in Spartanburg, sight of the Shrine Bowl practices.
Gladney is an Alabama commitment and this situation, according to the source, could affect the Crimson Tide’s attitude towards Gladney.
