Are people really excited about the BCS title game?

To me, as a die hard LSU fan my entire life, the excitement is nowhere near the level it was in 2007 or 2003. Must be because LSU is playing another SEC team it's already played this season. Is anyone else feeling this?
I mean, I can only imagine how disinterested a fan from the midwest, northeast, southwest or west coast must be. Maybe it's just me, but the excitement level for me in this one really sucks.

No, not excited for it at all. I'm not sure how many folks nationally are?
I bet there's a poll out there somewhere.
I want to see an offensive battle for the biggest games. That's not likely to happen with Bama and LSU rematch that shouldn't even be happening IMO.

The level of interest isn't any worse than '01 Miami/Nebraska, '03 LSU/Oklahoma that was played on a NFL Playoff Sunday, and '07 LSU/Ohio State.

I would expect bama fan to be very excited, since they were having to wait out the BCS picking process and got in. Maybe that's why 2007 was so exciting as an LSU fan compared to this season. IDK. I just think I would be more fired up to play a team we haven't played yet.

I'm not. Outside of Louisiana and Alabama, I would assume most, if not all, people aren't excited about this match up. However, they are the two best teams in the country.

I agree. But how do we know this? I can't say with 100% certainty that Ok St isn't better than alabama or LSU. And that's really the only team I can't say for sure.

I try telling myself that, but I know I was way more excited at this same point in time back in 2007. And we had a bazillion bowl games back then and a month before the big game.

As it gets closer, but not right now. Its mostly looking like a trap game for LSU. Hopefully, LSU comes to play. Hard to get up for the same team twice. More worried about whether they are hungry for it, than anything else.

Hard to get excited about a rematch and having to go 2-0 to win a championship when your opponent only needs to go 1-1. Doesn't remotely compare to 07 or 03.

Totally agree with this. Sucks that a BCS title game could even be considered a "trap game", but this one is. Weird huh? Wonder if rematching 2 teams from the same conference who have already played has something to do with that. I hate ESPN more and more each day.
