This might be one of the greatest national championship games(talent wise) of all time. We all know the hype is through the roof. Bama is trying to prove just what LSU is--that they are THE best team in THE best conference. BOTH teams are stacked, both have great coaches and die hard fanbases, we know this... I would just like to say be VERY careful in New Orleans..I know this is a monumental matchup, but in the end we are all the same people, just with different allegiances. I would hate to hear horror stories from both fanbases about fights, etc. before or after this game. I know the masses will be drinking and swelling with tide and tiger pride, but PLEASE try to have respect for your fellow fan. Sometimes the best thing to do is ignore the drunk idiots or shite talkers and just be the better man. I say this only because i know NOLA will be dangerously packed out, and with two fanbases that do not like each other, this could result in some violence. Please ignore our rabid fellow tiger fans..there are a huge number of overzealous jackasses. And bama fans, please just try to be civil as the visiting teams fans and realize that in the end it is just a football game. With that said, i genuinely hope you all enjoy NOLA. Enjoy some delicious food, take a tour or two, and have a great time! Here's to another classic between two juggernaut teams!

Good post and good advice. I would also add, fans partying in the Quarter DO NOT stray off onto the side streets after dark.

I agree with this and with TC. Football is very important to both of us, but let's not do anything stupid. We'll yell Roll tide, LSU fans will yell Geaux Tigers, the team that wins wins. Unless the win is extremely convincing, both teams will remain equal until one could some how dominate the other. If they played 10 games, both would win 5. Next year LSU won't be quite as good, but they'll be almost as good. Bama loses more, but their back up talent is very good too. Both teams will just reload, and I wouldn't be surprised if the regular season meeting is 1 vs 2 again.

Good post but LSU and UA fans should be the least of anyone's worries. It's the fricking thugs that like to shoot, stab, and rob ppl that everyone should be aware of. If you're goin to Bourbon at night, skip the canal street entrance. And don't go walking down side streets.

On paper LSU will be the same or better at each postion next year. Take a look at the Tigers' roster, they are full of freshman and sophomores. It's sick tell ya, completely sick.

2-0 in the same year is domination, regardless of score.

good advice. i would stick to the crowds and the big name areas..nola is fun but also can be very dangerous(like some mardi gras incidents).

Overall just be smart, don't drink so much you can't make decisions for yourself(or if you want to drink that much, be indoors with a good friend that will watch you )

The hype was on Nov 5th when we beat them
In there house. The hype was Nick Saban crying on national Tv to get another shot at the best team ever. The hype was Okie state getting fricked over for a team not worthy . Jan 9th , the hype is over , reality sets in for Alabama and espn that LSU cant be defeated, won't be disrespected , , and won't be denied! -

Right. Stay in groups, ladies don't carry purses, and men put your wallet in your front pocket. With that said the Quarter will be very safe. The NOPD and the LA State Police will be out in full force Mardi Gras style.

Losing 2 of your LBs, right, or all three? I don't remember at the moment. (they weren't as elite as the rest of the team anyway) Lose 2 guys from the O-Line too I think. I know LSU should be better, but it's hard to have an unbeaten/one loss season in the SEC then do it again. I know it's possible, I just see them losing a game they shouldn't lose.
