Maybe I'm missing something but nobody has pointed out how unfair it is to Arkansas that they aren't in a BCS Bowl at #6. I know they're BCS rules saying no more than 2 conference teams can be in a BCS bowl, but I mean they made exceptions for BAMA, why not Arky, who I believe is much better than Michigan or Virginia Tech, the other at-larges.....Although Arky didn't play well vs BAMA or LSU, I would like to see them play one of the teams mentioned above from outside the SEC and slaughter them

Exception may have been the wrong word....for the first time in history they put two teams from the same conference in the championship, there was a spot for an SEC team in the Sugar Bowl like normal, and gave it to two teams that I felt didn't quite deserve the spot.

And although it wasn't quite an "exception", before this year there was a wide consensus that two teams from the same conf. would never make the championship, this year that changed. they should have made a change and allowed Arky as the third SEC team because both of it's conf. members are in the NC...just my opinion

They should have gotten the Capital One over South Carolina. I'm not sure they even wanted that game though. Can't say I blame them.

Rules is rules. It ain't "unfair" for us to be headed to Dallas. We had our shot on the field and we lost fair and square.

Sure it's disappointing because Arkansas is better than some of the teams that made the BCS, but I'm excited about the top 10 matchup in primetime and the opportunity to finish in the top 5.

I have heard a few of the "know-it-alls" on ESPN say there's a good chance at this rule being changed in the off-season. But like all of these "changes," I don't see that happening.

There always seems to be a good SEC team left out bc a underwhelming Big East, non-BCS, or even an ACC team gets the nod.

It's a very STUPID rule and unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it...Hopefully they'll change it soon.

It isnt fair at all to Arky. If one team can be rewarded for a great loss, then Arky should be rewarded even more for having two great losses. Since it's all about quality losses these days.

I don't like all the rules of the BCS either, but it is what it is.

It does sound contradictory. The BCS wants the "best" two teams in the championship with no stipulations of same conference or even conference championship, but the rules do keep the "best" remaining teams from the 4 BCS bowls.

It's a flawed system, but it's the one we have.

Mike Gundy showed class in his interview last night when he said we (okie st.) go with the system.

It definitely sucks but Kansas State really got fricked b/c they could have and should have gone to the Sugar instead of Vagina Tech.

Yeah. those losses felt pretty shitty to me.

I didn't want Cap 1. I'm happy with Cotton (wish it would have been Texas instead of KSU, but oh well) and while the Cotton may not have the BCS tag-the match up blows the Orange & Sugar out of the water and it's prime time. I'm happy with our season all things considered.
