In my opinion, the coach's interview after the announcement speaks volumes on coaching philosophies and team focus.

Les Miles is interviewed, he has his wife and kids front and center and the entire team surrounding them. All in a very casual environment wearing LSU gear.

Nick Saban is interviewed, he is in suit and tie, all by himself.

LSU wins the title game 27-10. The team will not lose focus.

ETA: I can't wait for this game. The 2 best teams will get to battle it out for the championship. Great seasons for both programs.

So what's your point? No one else associate with your team was at the banquet? My observation is valid.

having a deeper team with explosive playmakers in all 3 phases of the game who can score and the much better bowl coach will win the game for LSU

This is the only difference between these teams. I'm not saying Bama doesn't have great players one the 2nd and 3rd teams but they don't rotate players the way LSU does. It's the reason we have beaten team into submission in the second half of every game.

well, that, and LSU just makes more plays

more sacks, more interceptions, more tackles for loss, more explosive in the return game, more explosive at WR

LSU does not make many mistakes and forces opponents into mistakes. LSU's turnover margin is #1 in the nation at +22. +22 is flat out fricking ridiculous

You would think he would have invited the team to come in that giant room with him and enjoy in the moment. But he's a selfish prick so I wouldn't expect any different.

You clearly have never played a sport, excelled academically, or otherwise attended a banquet.
