Congrats to the Tide. The Tiger Nation and players are absolutely stoked about a rematch. Screw the rest of the nation, as if the SEC should give a crap. Until some team rises up and earns it, the SEC should get the benefit of the doubt when there is debate. LSU would do to Okie State EXACTLY what it did to 2 conference and one division champion...embarrass them. Bama is the right choice.
The question that you have to ask is what was the bigger feat this year.
A winning the SEC West
B winning the SEC
C winning a major BCS bowl

I've talked to him before in a non public situation. I can't listen to his show, but away from his show he is a different person and fun to talk football with.

I can absolutely believe that. Like many, he does a schtick for ratings. His just happens to be more successful than most. Being a good dude off-air/script doesn't make him a good journalist tho.

Have you ever read any of his essays? I'm not talking about his call in show, although it's very entertaining. Read his latest column on SI about Mike Slive and the SEC and the history of the BCS. If you don't find that to be intelligent and compelling writing, then I can't help you.

My sister was his liason (gofer) for one of his book tours. She said he is a great guy. I can remember her telling me how it was all an act and he was laughing his arse off in the studio during the show.
