Question for LSU fans

I keep seeing the complaints about Bama sitting at home waiting on the BCS title game while LSU has to play Georgia. What's the difference in Bama getting to the title game after playing 12 games and OSU getting to the title game after playing 12 games? It doesn't matter which of the two teams LSU plays, either way the Tigers will have played an extra game.
ETA: there are valid arguments against Bama. I just see this one brought up a lot and it really doesn't have any validity.

OSU plays the same weekend as the SECCG and would have won their conference. /thread

Bc if they would have won, then they would have to play more games and have an "advantage"

That is not a valid argument. 12 games is 12 games. In all actuality OU and OSU had an advantage over other big 12 teams by getting an extra bye week during the regular season

We beat Bama. But for LSU fans, the only opponent that matters as of this moment is Georgia. The other teams don't exist right now.

question for Arkansas fans... when are yall going to get to the elite level of college football?

I know it's not a rule for the BCS but winning your conference should be a prerequisite. Even if there isn't a title game for the conference.

I'm not saying LSU isn't at a disadvantage for playing an extra game and having an added risk of injury, but it is the same disadvantage whether they play OSU or Bama.

this week has been great outside of the rematch bullshite. when you invest your identity on here with trolling LSU fans about past games it must sting to get arse raped when in that game.

neither OSU or Bama is capable of beating LSU in the dome this year so this is irrelevant.

Why do you suck as a poster. I am asking a legitimate question. It is not unreasonable, nor is it a flame attempt.

Because LSU hasn't already beaten Oklahoma State head to head?
The BCS is supposed to give us the top two teams. I have no doubt Alabama is the #2 team.
At the same time, I seriously doubt they thought this type of situation could ever happen. Not just that a team that didn't win its conference could get in, but that they could get in to face a team within their own conference who had already beat them. They won't go straight to a playoff after this, but there will be changes going forward as a result.
I believe Alabama deserves to be there based on the system, but I think anyone who isn't a flamer, an Alabama homer, or a combination of the two will admit that LSU is getting an incredibly shitty deal by having to go 2-0 against a great team to claim the championship while Alabama only needs a split. I get the "to be the best you have to beat the best" argument, and the simple comeback is "we already did that".

Totally a valid argument. If Weeden breaks his leg against OU it won't matter if he had an extra bye week in the middle of the season. The fact is that OSU and LSU will both have the same amount of time off from their last game until the BCS NCG. Alabama would have an extra week to prevent injuries and to rest existing injuries.

No game for OSU to play in. They also won the Big 12. OSU hit all the marks they could. Bama did not

I really do not care to be honest. It doesn't really matter who LSU plays in New Orleans, they are not losing that game.
I personally wouldn't mind seeing LSU get another shot at Bama, I think the outcome is only different by the point spread.
To be honest though, I do not understand how a team that lost out on it's own division to the other team in the title game has a leg to stand on. If you want a true judge of who is the best team then it is time to have someone else get a chance. A 1 loss BCS (not Big East) conference champ is more deserving than Bama is at getting a second chance. They deserved a shot and got it in their house. Turn the page.

put the rematch bullshite on the backburner. we have a game to go play in that your irrelevant team will probably never manage to win with that mickey mouse coach you have.

Losing to Iowa State is hitting all the marks?

Most teams in that conference had two bye weeks. I think only 3 or 4 of their teams have already finished and aren't playing this weekend.

So we're distinguishing losses? Again, Bama's best win is a loss to LSU, it's pathetic.
