Saban and Miles (top tier, great recruiters, professional, one goofy and well liked, the other misunderstood and sometimes feared, both will be remembered and well regarded by their schools)

Spurrier (legendary at Florida, well liked at SC, a great coach, has brought SC to new heights, fits well in the SEC, will call his own shots when he decides to hang it up)

Richt (not much difference in quality and class between this guy and ones above, only needs a national title to join the club above, all other metrics met)

Chizik (solid coach, did more with his last two teams than expected, as no one predicted Crystal in 2010 and they have managed to stay afloat in 2011, with Dooley or Muschamp at the helm, this young team would have been SUNK)

Franklin (energetic, fiery, players coach, taking Vandy bowling and getting to the 4th quarter in first year, will be hard for Vandy to keep if he continues to have "success" as we define it where Vandy is concerned)

Mullen (solid coach in a no win situation, StarkVegas lies between Bama and LSU and has comparatively little to offer a young college recruit looking for more than just SEC football)

Nutt (name says it all, provided the SEC with loads of entertainment and the occasional upset, will reinvent himself somewhere else)

Joker Phillips (don't really know enough about him to comment, but beating Tenn with a converted wide receiver at QB while coaching at Kentucky has got me interested in learning more)

Muschamp and Dooley (giving them those programs like giving new Corvettes to a newly licensed teens, both in way over their heads, painful to watch on sidelines, may not last very long as the programs they are mismanaging have too much pride to tolerate their ineptitude for long)

Petrino (cocksucker)

I'd like to just pause and reflect on how bad a good portion of your fanbase wanted Miles gone last year and before.

I think you are giving Richt too much credit. Not that he isn't a decent coach.
I think Muschamp needs one to two more seasons before his coaching ability can be fully critiqued.

Otherwise I agree.

You could have just started a thread titled "Petrino Is A Cocksucker", but I appreciate the effort. Nice work.

And your point is what? I said MY perception, not Negatigers' perception, not the entire fanbases' perception.

Please show me a fan base who is not hard on a coach who follows a coach who delivered a NC and leaves at the top of his game. Miles has dealt with this typical fan situation better than any coach I can remember. Most fan bases will run off the new coach in 2 to 3 years.

No, I wrote the entire post so you'd read it and see what I think of your coach

I'm a Saints fan and an LSU Tiger, so I could give a rats arse what Petrino did to the Falcons. In fact, if he'd stayed, I'm sure he'd be flipping off Payton and Brees and answering to Roger Goodell. I'm just calling them as I see em. You are entitled to enlighten me on what you think of Miles. I'm all ears.
