I understand this is a big time stretch and wouldn't happen but try to follow me for sec.
-LSU/Bama finish #1 and #2 in BCS Sunday night
-AP is not in favor of rematch
-AP decides to go ahead and crown LSU champion before bowls
-Bama pulls off miracle in NOLA
Would you claim a national championship?
I'll be honest, if Bama was to sneak in and get a win I'm going to say without a doubt we are national champions. That being said, it has to really change some of the anti-playoff people's thinking.

I wouldn't but then again I'm not a Bama fan.

It won't happen. That exception is reserved for USC and the other media darlings.

I'll go on record with this:
If Bama beats LSU in the BCSNG, they're the champs in my opinion. I don't think Bama deserves to be there, but I can understand the reasoning in arguing that they do, and I'm okay either way. Why?
Because I think it's a moot point. LSU beat them in Tuscaloosa when they were still trying to cement an identity, and they're a better team than they were in Tuscaloosa as a result of having done that, now.
LSU will beat them again in Nola. By more than 3.
