I know they exceeded mine. I didn't think they would be THIS good. Did LSU nation figure they would be in the Title game?

I had em at 10-2 or 9-3 in August.

No. we played our D game against Alabama and only won by 3.

should have destroyed the bammers by at least 21 if we bring anything close to our A game.

We freaked out when Krags stepped down as OC. But they exceeded my expectations by 1 game. I felt like they would be 11-1.

Yes I thought they would do this next year.

being undefeated.....yes

But I thought all along that the Oregon and Bama game would decide how good this season could be

I was thinking a 10 or 11 win season, but hopefully it's all the way baby!

I'm the type of fan who begins every season with the hopeful expectation that my team will win every game.

Given that, this team still well exceeded my expectations.

I thought they would have a good team but would fall victim to their difficult schedule and lose 2-3 games. Their talent has allowed them to overcome any week to week letdowns they could have had.

I'd say that given all the BS going on off of the field...Les Miles managed that team as well as could be expected.

of course

I figured probably 10-2 and hoped for 11-1 before the SEC CCG. Just because of the location I figured the Bama game would be hard to win

Yes next year was supposed to be our year. Especially with how tough our schedule was this year compared to how easy it is next year.

Alls I got to say is this team in the Dome on the turf is going to be like trying to catch lightning in a bottle or some such other cliche.

I thought they had a chance to get to Atlanta this year.

However, I thought next season would be the one that LSU made a legit run at the BCS title game.

We knew what kind of team we had, but we also knew what kind of schedule we had to play.

Not shocked we are the best team in the nation, but I am shocked we are undefeated.

they've exceeded them in the way they've gone about their business. They've had 1 game in doubt in the 4th quarter. Nobody does that in college football. Even Miami 01 and USC 04 had to get a few good bounces to get by some teams that weren't on the same planet as them talent wise. After the UO game it was pretty clear what sort of team this was, but I kept waiting for them to have a game when they "let up" and they never did. Closest it ever got was last friday, and they responded by blowing Arkansas' doors off in a matter of 5 minutes.

Every thread on this board doesn't have to be a discussion of UA vs. LSU

Thought next year had the potential to look like this year, and that we would be 9-3 or 10-2 this year.

I had them 11-1 with possible losses to Bama or Oregon. With the new Offensive Coordinator and QB coach I didn't know if the offense would be ready early in the season. Boy was I wrong and pleasantly surprised after the Oregon game. They were in great shape and set the tone for the remainder of the season. Just think this is a rebuilding year!

Yeah. Next year was supposed to be the year IMO. With our schedule and what key positions were lost on defense and the Lee/JJ QB situation, I didn't think they'd be sitting where they are right now.
