New wrinkle in Bama's offense noticed against Auburn

Looks like the Bama offense has recently added a lot of pick routes and quick outs that have been extremely effective. This is something I think was added as ammunition against a team like LSU. LSU's only defensive weakness is against a short passing game that uses "clearing" defenders with interference from eligible receivers. whether it is a pick route or WRs running players off and sneaking someone underneath, it is tough on any defense.
Of course TR will continue to get his carries, but McCarron's ability to spread the ball around has improved.
I think we will see both teams operating more efficiently on offense in the rematch. Due to Jefferson getting the start and his ability to run against an aggressive defense. But Bama looks to have addressed their offensive inefficiencies against LSU with this new game plan.
Is this new, or has it just improved recently?

I also noticed Saban has abandoned the 40 yard and longer FG.

Its not new, and you noticed it because they did it enough against Auburn to get mentioned during the broadcast.

Bama's been doing that to Auburn the past 3 years.

no doubt, but they did run a lot of improved routes that fit their personnel.
I am not saying you can compare Auburn to LSU, but that these routes have become more prevalent in their offense.

No. They haven't.

I noticed that McCarron continues to act like an elated school girl when he completes a pass for a two-point conversation. Kid is such a douche. Even aside from the embarrassment that is his tatoo, the kid is a tool.

maybe just more opportunity against AUburn.
I haven't really noticed Bama running these routes before the iron bowl, but I have only watched Bama play Penn St, LSU and Auburn.

And it also seems their TE runs around in stealth mode.

He should have read this, so he'd know how to act...

I was interested seeing them split out their TE's out wide. They were on the line, and then would both split out wide pre-snap. Interesting formation, but it definitely worked.

They've always run pick plays

He is a kid excited about a touchdown. Not sure how that makes him a tool. I guess the guy isnt gonna get any respect unless he drop kicks a Marine in the end zone.

I'm good. His tatoo is so tight though.

Kind of what I was seeing. They are using big bodies to clear or pick opposing DBs or play action to TEs on short routes. Looked like it was run pretty well.

The marine was in full uniform. JJ makes a two-point conversation to his tight-end up three touchdowns and loses his mind all the time. Who wouldn't? Two-point conversions to the tight-end are all the rage these days.

If Saban & Staff refuses to play field position, Bama will lose again
To not play field position football with the defense Bama has is silly
ROLL TIDE !!!!!
