ESPN push for Bama hit a low tonight, example included

ESPN decided to compare the wins of the top 5 BCS teams against AP ranked opponents tonight in a graph.
Interesting choice considering the AP poll is the only poll that doesn't factor in to the BCS. Why would ESPN show wins vs AP ranked opponents and not BCS ranked opponents? Oh, this is why.
Wins vs. AP ranked teams
Bama- 2
OSU- 2
Wins vs. BCS ranked teams
Bama- 2
OSU- 4(and 5 if we beat OU)
Wouldn't want to use the BCS rankings on the BCS Countdown show. This really is turning in to a fricking joke

cry me a river..if your team gets into the national championship game, you get the ever loving hell beat out of you..Bama is the only team in the country that can play with lsu..deal with it son..

Amen... Bama's schedule was a joke.
Posted on 11/27/11 at 8:40 pm to Rickie
What's the rank of the teams they lost to? What were the defenses ranked they each played against?
Posted on 11/27/11 at 8:40 pm to Rickie
They're gonna be pushing it hard for for the first part of this week. But I bet toward the end of the week and after the game this weekend, the tide will start to shift.
get it. tide.
get it. tide.

Interesting. Pretty damn stupid if you ask me. Considering it is the BCS show, you would think the idiots would use the BCS rankings.

Penn St > WV.. mutual opponents were dead even in margin of victory, with Lsu. Oregon is in a really shitty conference and overrated. You diminish Lsu's wins with that statement.

Just posted this in another thread:
Looking at this as objectively as possible [which 99.5% of the fans of Bama nor Oklahoma St are capable of doing as EACH fanbase is biased for their team] , Gilmore is actually correct that Bama and Oklahoma St should be compared and it is actually not a slam dunk.
Bama
-Win over BCS #8
-Win over BCS #21
-Loss to BCS #1 in Overtime at home
-Non-Conference Champ
-Plays in Conference that is 7-0 in BCS Championship Game and that has won 5 straight BCS Championships
-Already lost to "would-be" BCS Championship Opponent BUT has very comparable scores to BCS #1 in games against common opponents
Oklahoma St
-Win over BCS #10 [assuming they beat Oklahoma whose ranking would likely drop 2-3 spots with loss]
-Win over BCS #11 [Kansas St-whose ranking would go up if Oklahoma at #10 loses]
-Win over BCS #17
-Win over BCS #22
-Win over BCS #25
-Conference Champ
-Loss in Overtime to unranked Iowa St on road the day of school tragedy [which has to be considered]
-Has not played any common opponents as BCS #1

OK. I asked this in another thread with zero response. Do you only consider losses or are wins included?

Yeah. Well, we have an incredibly impressive win you don't have, and you're leaving it out...
Care to guess which one it is, and where it was played?

Which top 5 or top ten teams did Okie St beat?
Posted on 11/27/11 at 8:46 pm to tuptiger
And I never said Bama should be #1 over Lsu. Only arguing against everyone else being #2. And that's all that really matters.

This is irrelevant and have nothing to do with this year's NC.

Means absolutely nothing. You aren't comparing to LSU. You are comparing to OSU.

Meaning you can't claim LSU and Bama are better.

C'mon. Don't pick and choose a single game. Check all 12.
