Not trying to help his case, but VT actually won their division and could very well win the conference. Bama is not able to do so.

Right, because they lost to a cross division opponent (who has lost multiple games).
I guess their conference championship don't count because it involves a rematch.

It really doesn't count towards much of a case for a NCG, which is why no one is really considering them.
