No. That would be 2011 Alabama. Nevermind that loss. It didn't really matter.

I haven't talked to one Bama fan that didn't admit that LSU is a great team and definitely deserves to be number 1. We are a great team as well but we also needed and got alot of luck with other teams going down for us to get another shot. Y'all got alot of luck as well on the last weekend in 07 to get in. If WVU hadn't of lost, y'all wouldn't have got in even with the SEC title.

Basically, y'all are a great team but that doesn't dimiish the fact that Bama is a great team as well. If we get in, we finally know going in that it will be a dogfight. For the past 5 years, I knew who the winner would be but we might actually have a very competitive NCG this year. I'm looking forward to a great NCG!

But scared to play The Tide.

The best would not show so much fear.

You have two games left. Lose one and you go down as the biggest choke team of the century.

LOL at Bama fans. Bama has beaten one currently ranked team and only three teams with a winning record. That speaks on no rematch against a team Bama has already lost to at home. Por Bama fans and their sense of entitlement.

No, we'd be a 1-loss BCS champion. Which is the absolute best case scenario for Bama right now.

If you really think Bama is better than LSU, wouldn't losing to them at home this year be a much bigger choke job?

Nope. IMO, losing the championship means that you choked. We lost at home to y'all in the REGULAR SEASON but we might get another shot to redeem ourselves when it matters most in the post-season.

If we play and beat bama again beating that team will be greatly diminished by people 5+ years from now

Too bad stanford couldn't beat oregon or ok state couldn't beat isu... because then on paper LSU would have an argument

Anyway, LSU could still shite the bed against UGA or in the BCS NCG... and even if they don't I'll have a hard time moving them into the better than 95 nebraska category (that team blew out everyone including all teh top five-ten teams they played)

Exactly. They knew that OSU would lose to Iowa St. and that Oklahoma and Oregon would take a 2nd loss.

You already are! In front of 100,000 of your brethren on your own ground. When we tool your arse the second time it will be the beginning of the end of the short lived "Saban dynasty" as your own begin to turn on him, questioning his play calling, recruiting, etc. We will hoist the ball, and you will begin "the process". It will be a joy to behold as we may be odds on to repeat next year. Hope you get to be there in person! Get yourself prepared and pumped WAY up!

No that would be Alabama. Remember LSU beat you last year also, you team prepared for a year and chocked.

To be objective and use no Florida teams I would give it to Bama 1992.

the best wouldn't quit or lose at home or lose period or give up 300 yards rushing to some D II team or poison trees or worship a dead drunk or a live midget

Thanks for proving my point. That game was called by all the defacto national champ game and bama "gave it away" as you would all leave us to believe. The very definition of choke.

LSU is a "Damn strong team" and I think might be the best I've ever seen. No weaknesses like Bama has with special teams (ahem). Sound in every phase and very well coached. I said it from the start that Bama does not "deserve a rematch" like some LSU fans keep harping. Bama will - however -play in the BCSNCG "IF" they are ranked in the top two in the end. This has nothing to do with LSU at all. Look at the first few responses to the OP. LSU fans - enjoy the ride - you deserve all your getting (and probably will next year). Don't dwell on Bama, you already beat us once. I don't think your scared either.
