Wilson's QB rating was 148.6 and Jefferson's was 126.8----another meaningless stat. Who here thinks Wilson played a better game than Jefferson

Their stats were pretty interchangable, but JJ had the big TD run so he wins

Don't be a closed minded and think just because LSU is undefeated it means that EVERY facet of the game is superior to everyone else.

I don't see how that's possible. Their lines were as follows:
Wilson 14-22 207 yards 1 TD 1 int
Jefferson 18-29 208 yards 1 TD 1 int

How does Wilson's line rate him 20 points higher than Jefferson? If it does, then ratings are meaningless.

Fewer passes for almost identical yards and a higher completion rating.

and that Tigerpaul is my point; is it Wilson's 4 less completions or is it Jefferson's 7 more passes which makes QB rating that much higher? And let's not forget rushing yards.

JJ had 53 rushing yards on 7 carries and a rush TD as well...

I was impressed with Wilson. He was facing a tougher pass rush than JJ was.

I agree. He's a tough guy. He got banged around by A&M and had an incredible second half against them.
