Has Alabama had a letdown? Have they peaked already? Stats, loved by the Bama fans, tell us an interesting tale of where LSU and Alabama are.

LSU is getting better.

Alabama is not as dominant as they were.

LSU averages in the past 2 games:

Avg. Score: 47-6
466 yards per game offense
210.5 yards per game defense

Alabama averages in the past 2 games:

Avg. Score: 34.5 - 14
424 yards per game offense
236 yards per game defense

The schedule has been comparable in the two teams they have played.

LSU is getting stronger and believes they are dominant. Alabama knows they are mortal. LSU will beat Arkansas in a HUGE game and then go play a championship game against Georgia in a hostile environment. They will beat Georgia and be even more battle tested than Alabama.

Then, LSU will play Bama in the Superdome. I LOVE our chances.

Me too - Though Bama will still say we're scared to play a best-out-of-5

A lot of that has to do with Barret Jones being out the past two weeks(not to mention the two Kuandjio brothers being out for the season), but Alabama has not been playing their best ball. Of course, any bowl game that Alabama happens to make it to will feature a full strength and healthy Alabama.

Regardless, they need to win big in Auburn.

See what LSU did against MSU. See what Bama did against Ole Miss. Pretty comparable in my opinion. I think you and I both know we can throw out whatever happened in the Western Kentucky and Georgia Southern games.

LSU and Bama are both very good teams. "If" we play again I expect to see more scoring, but the final will probably be just as close. Do you disagree?

Yeah, really comparable teams. Yall struggled with WKU, we struggled with Ga. Southern, whom is better than WKU. We beat MSU handedly, and yall throttled OM just like everyone else has. MSU is MUCH better than OM, and it isn't even close. Great points though, killer.

No. I don't disagree. I give great respect to Alabama. I just don't see it being returned. All I heard in the lead up to the game was "stats, stats, stats." So, it goes both ways.

You can't "throw out" games. Or, Bama fans didn't do it before the "Big Game" that is now meaningless.

Injuries change teams week to week. Plus, Teams have lots of tape, to tweek the schemes. Both teams are still the best, this year. Not worried about either.

No we didn't. I guess you didn't see the game or look at the stat sheet. We dominated WKU. We sure didn't give up over 300 yards rushing.

FCS vs. FBS. Not buying it. But, you can keep saying it if it makes you feel better. How many years has Georgia Southern even had a football program?

You scored 24 points on them. You bashed us for scoring 19 on them early in the season. We are MUCH better now. You aren't as good as you were.

So? You beat MSU by 17. We beat Ole Miss by 49.

I'm talking about what has happened since the LSU/Alabama game.

Thank you. Awful comeback on your end, though.

30 I think and they have won 6 national titles. They wouldn't be competitive in 1-A football but I'm pretty sure they would handle WKU, but again you can throw out both those games as any indication of one team being superior to the other.

Yeah right. Georgia Southern would smoke Ole Miss & Western Kentucky.

LSU struggled against WKU relative to how good both teams are. Wasn't it like 21-7 in the third when yall stopped them on the goal line? Yall struggled against WKU as much as we struggled against Ga.S. l. Also, I'm still not seeing what you are trying to say when comparing our win vs. MSU and yalls vs OM. Oh yeah, you aren't trying to say anything because you have no point.

Good thing y'all didn't play Ole Miss this year so it didn't bring down your SOS.

Haven't yall only beaten like 3 winning teams?

Bama has looked like a Saban team. Historically his teams do not always do great against teams they "should" beat. They are always up for the big games. I suspect the performance of a rematch will be on par with the first one.

I would say the hangover lasted for just about a two quarters for LSU. It has been about 2 games for Bama. Two weeks in a row, Bama has come out flat. LSU just one week. I think it is expected.

Hello, would you please additionally evaluate Arkansas statistics from the past 2 weeks? I am curious as to how a team just not quite as good as the aforementioned 2 could possibly improve...I'll park my mouse and watch the screen!
