I haven't seen em play this year. What do they do well, not well. who is their Best player? underrated player? overrated player? I remember being very impressed with the QB againsy AuBarn last year.

thanks for the thoughts.

Three awesome receivers. Simon is going to need is A game.

Wilson, the QB, is tough as nails and can throw the rock.

RB, I think Dennis Johnson is his name, is a solid all purpose back and will give our LB's fits.

Their defensive and offensive lines are suspect.

They are a quick strike team.

Arkansas is good. LSU is better. WVU putting up passing yards makes me think Arkansas may be able to move the ball, but in the end, I think LSU will do what they normally have done under Miles and elevate their game when it counts. LSU by double digits.

One thing I will say, do not be deceived by the beat down bama put on them.

Arky beat themselves in the first half of that game. They were playing bama well until they started self destructing for no reason. Then in the second half they just mailed it in and quit.

If they did not make some stupid stupid mistakes in the first half to beat themselves they would have given bama a MUCH better game.

Arkansas signature wins this season:

South Carolina minus its best players
Mississippi State

Arkansas on the road:
struggled mightily with Ole Miss and Vanderbilt.

Much better than six weeks ago. Young o line is playing better. Like most of petrino's team they are better at the end than the beginning.

I just saw Alabama drill them so bad I thought somebody was going to die, namely Mr. Wilson, who seemed to whine a little about having to play the role of the Hog in "Deliverance", but he did bounce back up when I thought he was surely dead several times.

Not sure if this is a flame or not, but I'll bite.

WHAT WE DO WELL: Obviously pass. Wilson has had a pretty solid year in terms of passing. The offense isn't as explosive as it was under Mallett, but it's still pretty good. The run game has improved from the start of the season, and now is averaging 5+ ypc. Seems to be a trend among Petrino teams that we finally get our run game going later in the season.

I don't know where to put our special teams, because it's been herky jerky at times. Our punting unit is pretty decent, though our punt coverage has allowed one TD this season. Our kicker is pretty solid for the most part. His head doesn't go in the toilet after a miss. We are explosive on the punt return and the kickoff return, and it's set up our offense quite well. Kickoff coverage has been lacking, and we're tenth in the conference on that.

WHAT WE DON'T DO WELL: Obviously the defense has been a question mark this season. We couldn't stop a slug running the ball earlier on, though we were banged up. However, somehow, the defense has played better. After the Vandy game, we've held all our opponents to less than 100 ypg and less than 4 ypc. Our passing defense is again herky jerky. Our DBs occasionally make some plays, but they are also liable to give up a big pass play. However, we can rush the QB with the return of Jake Bequette and Tank Wright.

BEST PLAYER(s): Tyler Wilson/Jarius Wright/Jake Bequette. Wilson is obvious. He's tough and makes good throws. Wright has had a monster season this year. Bequette is the best pass rusher on the team, and has a phenomenal bullrush.

UNDERRATED PLAYER(s): Dennis Johnson. Little guy who's legs never stop moving. Was overshadowed due to injury and Knile Davis' emergence, but has given big teams trouble.

OVERRATED PLAYER: Probably either Ronnie Wingo, Greg Childs, or Jerico Nelson. I love all the players players, but Wingo isn't that great of a runner (though he is phenomenal on that wheel route they run him on). Greg Childs is awesome, but he's been hampered by injury and apart from a few catches last game has not been as productive as he was the past few seasons. Jerico Nelson is my favorite defensive player, but he hasn't had the nose for the ball the way he used to have in previous years.

Much better team in 2nd half of games. Their coaches make good halftime adjustments. It's been this way most of the season with them. Arky can score points quickly. I hope LSU can be winning by at least two td's at halftime and we get the ball to start the third quarter.

Uhm, no. Recruiting is part of the college game. It's his job to bring in Tier 1 talent like Miles and Saban do every year. Now if you want to say he's the best at developing what talent he has and putting them in a winning system, you have an argument.
