Even though I bleed purple, gold and maroon, I'm gonna have to start pulling for Arkansas baseball.
I know baseball recruiting isn't a big deal on this site compared to basketball and football, but my younger brother, Colin Poche, signed to play at Arkansas last night.
6'2", 190 lb. LHP
Has topped out at 92 and was throwing 88 consistently in his fall league. Has a good change-up and his slurve is becoming another strikeout pitch.
His summer coaches and others have compared him to Derek Holland at this point in his career. So treat my brother kindly up there and although it pains me to say this, PIG SOOIE!!!
Through two starts:
1-1, 0.00 ERA, 16 IPs, 22 Ks, 5 H, 2 BB

We've been LSU fans our whole life, so we have grown to dislike Arkansas, but he pitched there the summer before last and instantly feel in love with the place. Doesn't hurt that he learned Cliff Lee went there, someone he has idolized as a pitcher.

We live baseball here at UA. He is in good hands.

Had offers from Oklahoma State, Navy, Dallas Baptist, Texas State and was fielding calls from TCU, Oklahoma, Mississippi State and LSU. Seemed like LSU was slow-playing him thinking they could go after bigger fish instead.

We welcome him to beautiful state of Arkansas.

Didn't want to stat a new thread since the front page is filled with Football recruiting, but through two starts:
1-1, 0.00 ERA, 10 IPs, 12 Ks, 3 H, 1 BB
1-1, 0.00 ERA, 10 IPs, 12 Ks, 3 H, 1 BB

If I see you call the hogs EVEN ONCE... We are disowning you.
Congrats to your brother, Aggie

I'm trying to stay as far away from Arkansas while still remaining a baseball fan. I've already told him that is the only sport I'm going to cheer for there

Thanks for the update. We have a gaudy pitching staff right now and I love it. Your brother will make it that much deeper next year.

I'll buy you a hog hat that you can wear proudly!

Things like that make for strange bedfellows. I cant stand anything Bama in an athletic way but a kid that went to my kids HS is a freshman starting pitcher for the Tide this year. I actually hope he does well...
