My step dad got diagnosed with leukemia 2 weeks ago and asked if he could still watch the Alabama-lsu game. He was in the icu unconseus 3 days later. He passed away today after never waking up. Here is to Kenny and Alabama and all those years of a house divided!

My dad was buried the day of the game.

Took all the fun out of it for me. Wasnt going to watch it......ended up watching with my brother. Could help but feel dad smile when the game was over.

Love ya dad

We talk a lot sh*t that's the fun of being attached to a team, but sports also bring us together with people you would never root for and at the end of the day we're all one big dysfunctional sports family.

Now once we have passed the dutchie around this big love fest, it's back to hating all of you . In the mean time, prayers sent to the OP and MoreOrLes because I know what's it like. Last year my mom I buried my mom hours before her favorite rivalry...Saints/Falcons. Once again,

One of my greatest times inlife and the main reason I am a Bama fan is watching the games with my Dad. Sorry to hear this news.

Lost my dad during the Northwestern Game. Last game I watched with him was the Oregon game while he was in ICU. At the time, he was doing ok, but I had a sense that it would be the last Tiger game I watched with him. I just knew it.

Miss calling him during games and talking Tiger sports. He never missed any of my games and I know he is not missing any now. He was a huge fan of Miles. I told him when he was slipping away to make sure that Bama gets a few penalties (legitimately) called on them when he gets to the other side.

God bless you both. My uncle is terminally ill and I watch as many braves and bama games with him as I can, I know it's crazy but in 09 I was so happy he got to see another NC.

Doesn't look like the damn braves will win it all again in my lifetime, much less his.
