Name att yds y/a long td
Richardson 132 912 6.9 76 15
Lacy 51 419 8.2 67 5
Fowler 38 302 7.9 69 3

Ware 128 512 4.0 23 6
Ford 67 359 4.5 35 2
Blue 52 232 4.5 29 4

Bama is averaging over 7 yards an attempt. Is this difference explained by better offensive line play or are Bama's backs better?

Bama's backs are better and Bama has a better offensive line and a better offensive coordinator and a better head coach and a better QB and a better defense... I think that explains it.

Little of both. Plus Arky, Ole Miss, and Vandy can't stop the run.

Vandy has actually been pretty solid against the run this year. They are only giving up about 110 ypg and less than 3 ypc.

Both Richardson and Lacy are better than any RB LSU has

You run more 3 wide sets insuring less in the box.

LSU runs more two tight, two back sets insuring 8 or 9 in the box.

Bama is putting the square peg through the square hole.

LSU is ramming the square peg through the circle hole.

That being said, Richardson is the best back in the conference. You also shouldn't have put numbers in your alter.

These teams must pay high premiums insuring all these players.

Well if that's the case, then isn't that kind of stupid on LSU's part? Why would you want to "insure" 8-9 men in the box? That's not very intelligence.

These threads are obviously tired, but I am surprised by those numbers from LSU. It just seems like they've run the ball better than that.

It's our offense. We run to wear down a defense to where we gash them for yards in the 4th to crush their will to fight. We are obviously saving the good stuff for Bama. How's that for intelligence?
