I am considering a trip to this year's Sugar Bowl. I am going to bring at least one of my daughters (12 & 10). Please give me some feedback:
1) Do you recommend it?
2) How is the atmosphere?
3) Are there any associated events that we should take in?
4) We will be coming from Dallas and are not sure if we should drive or fly. Any thoughts on this?
5) Any advice on tickets?
6) Other advice to consider?
TIA
PS: Frankly, I'd rather see the LSU/Bama game, but I have too much on at work.

Make sure to learn the hog call so you can participate during the game.

Absolutely

2) How is the atmosphere?
Incredible, although the Sugar Bowl I attended didn't turn out too well for the team I was rooting for (Utah 31 Alabama 17 )

3) Are there any associated events that we should take in?
The fanfest near Jax Brewery on Decatur in the French Quarter is always cool.

Drive, just because I hate flying.

5) Any advice on tickets?
Purchased mine from craigslist for $100 each. They were waaaaaaay up there in the nosebleed section though

You got your shoes in New Orleans. Trust me, it might come in handy.

He's asking about the Sugar bowl, not the Liberty Bowl.

Yes i go every year, alwasy exciting and never knowing who is going to be in it adds to excitement
2) How is the atmosphere?
atmosphere is good, both teams normally travel alot of fans and get to see a team you don't normally see outside the sec
3) Are there any associated events that we should take in?
Since they built the superbowl corner thing at the dome they have bands and all out there, just a big party
4) We will be coming from Dallas and are not sure if we should drive or fly. Any thoughts on this?
I'd drive, but its your choice
5) Any advice on tickets?
Tickets actually went on sale about 3 weeks ago on ticket master, always get mine when presale begins so they are face value, you could probably wait closer to time. Everyones tickets will be higher now, you probably could wait closer to time and get a couple cheaper ones depending on who is in it.
6) Other advice to consider?
TIA

It's the best bowl experience out there. I would urge anyone to attend on at some point.
