Saban's "Process"

If I hear Saban say "process" one more time, I'm gonna throw up. Also that Saban develops players and Miles doesn't.
Miles did a great job of developing K. Sheppard from a skinny kid from GA to a 3rd round NFL pick. Ridley was a solid, but unspectacular recruit from MS but progressively got better in the LSU system. The list goes on.
Now for Saban's process. It is no accident that his process seemingly got better in parallel with superior talent. I will give him credit for realizing how important recruiting is for success when he was at LSU and now with Alabama. His process failed when the talent was spread more evenly in the NFL.
Took a gander at Rivals rankings over the years compared to their record:
2006 - #11, record 6-7 under Shula, later vacated (Bama caught cheating previously)
2007 - #10, record 7-6, 5 W's later vacated
2008 - #1, record 12-2
2009 - #1, record 14-0
2010 - #5, record 10-3
2011 - #1, 6-0 thus far
Process this Nick...

In summation Miles could go to a bad NFL team next season and have a super bowl winning team within two seasons. That man is fricking awesome.

I am reminded of those old school hotel rooms that had a door that would open between adjacent rooms. You could put your kids in one room and the adults in the other.
