I told all you McCarron will be the man. He only really had one bad throw in the kent state game.

After he has 250yds and 3 tds against PSU will the mood change.

This Bama team will have to pass because there is no Ingram in the backfield.

cuz he likes to throw the 35 yard TD pass in coverage instead of the open 20 yard pass.

McCarron sees the field better than any QB not named Wilson in the SEC right now. He also has the quickest release in the SEC right now.

How can you say this? It's completely subjective

McCarron had no problem throwing down field on UT last year. Alot of those 200 plus yards Julio had came from McCarron passes.

I think McCarron is what everyone in college football fears. An Elite QB at Alabama.

The only team that will come within one possession of Bama this year will probably be Arky.

I think the bama runs the table.

McElwain turned ginger into a decent QB. He also got JPW in the league even if it was a brief appearance.

He coaches QBs with the best of them and McCarron is the most talented one he has had to work with by far.

I think they're doubting him, partly because they're running the two QB system and has yet to earn the starting spot outright, and partly because while he does show some really good ability, he's definitely shown that he can make some bad mistakes.

Kinda like a Cutler, but without as strong of an arm?

I heard something interesting from a coworker. Her fiance is friends with AJs dad. Apparently a particular receiver who is besties with Sims is under suspicion of dropping passes on purpose.

anyone hear anything of the sort?

I've seen McCarron play several times, as he went to HS at St Pauls, who we play every year. Elite is one word I would never use to describe his play

No WR would drop a pass on purpose. There is very little separation between the 3-8 WRs on Bama's team. After Maze, Hanks, White, and Carter there is a big jumbled mess of about 5 WR who are all a play from being in the game or off North Alabama to play for tatter tot.

There is too much at stake for them individually to do something foolish like that.

Saban polled the team and it was about as close to fifty on who the players wanted to be the starter and that was after the spring.

You have been the biggest hater of McCarron. He won a State Championship for St. Pauls.

Of Course it was mostly on the backs of Barron, Hood, and Ivan etc.

He had a so so senior year, but Matt Barkley had a worse senior year and will be a top 10 draft pick.

While that is a very nice return flame nothing I stated diagreed with ur assessment that AJ is better. I just stated an observation about threads that begin with the words that u began urs with. I honestly don't know much about the bama QB competition although I doubt anyone but mccarron ends up the starter.

It is quite funny how defensive u got over my generally mundane original statement.
