“One thing I can say is he’s going to be a hell of a player,” said Packers safety Nick Collins, who has had to cover Williams in practice.

“I can’t say enough about D. J. and Ryan,” said Packers coach Mike McCarthy

That's good to hear. I really hope he is successful in the NFL with all the stuff he has had to go through in life.

green bay's offense always seems to use the TE a ton(lee and frank come to mind)... he'll do great there i'm sure.

Sounds like he is getting some quality reps since Finley is still being played cautiously.

Other than first-round draft pick Derek Sherrod, who opened camp as the starting left guard, no rookie has seen more time with the starters than Williams.

CSB

(sorry, I did this to a Julio Jones thread earlier and I'm just trying to stay consistent. I love reading about former hogs, but don't want to hear about former players from other schools anymore on the SEC Rant)

You, sir, are a deviant.
At least you think like one.

Williams should do well up there in GB.
Finley was tearing it up before he got hurt. They will use them both in their offense.

No better place to play as far as the way their fans treat them.

IMHO Williams will be the starting TE after this year if/when Finley wants a pay day.
