I've been approached by some random Bama fans that weren't so hospitable. I was pumping gas in Birmingham not to long ago and so random redneck Bammer came up to me and told me to go to hell and take that shitty school with me. I guess he saw the Ole Miss sticker on my truck.

I see Ole Miss and MSU fans bringing up random stories like this from time to time about Alabama fans. Sorry, I just find it hard to believe. I apologize for this sounding arrogant but I've never known a Bama fan (or Auburn fan for that matter) that gave enough of a s### about either ole Miss or MSU as a rival to get worked up enough to do what you've described. Then again it's not impossible because I did have to apologize to an Oklahoma fan who was smarted off to by an Alabama fan before the OU/Bama game in Tuscaloosa in 2003. The Bama fan was a smart### frat star that more resembled JT Bowtie than one of the sidewalk mouthbreathers though.

Yeah, I really don't get Bama, Tenn, or Florida being on this list. None are really unruly fanbases. And Penn State and the Hokies both do belong on the list as others have mentioned. Particularly PSU, they are top 5 IMO.

Florida has/had a terrible reputation for the longest and I had a bad experience with a loud mouth tank top and gold chain wearing, mullet headed Gator fan at the 1993 SEC title game in Bham. On the other hand, I sat in the middle of nothing but UF fans in the Swamp in 1999 and they were all great. UF fans are better than their rep.

Penn State fans don't belong on the bad list overall. Great fans. PSU fans apologize for a growing, hard partying "Jersey Shore" element in their fanbase and this group will trash a tailgate but PSU fans as a whole are really solid.

Hokie fans at the Kickoff Classic seemed pretty cool.

Pretty well-known crazy student section:
You suck cheer

let's get wasted

jump around

night game jump around

they probably get a nod because of the 1993 stadium collapse that injured 73 students. The cops were trying to keep them off the field when they beat Michigan. The students in front stopped but the ones behind them kept coming until the supports gave way.

this kind makes me think they do belong: LINK

However, on September 6, 2003 (the Badgers' first home game of the season), with construction of the skyboxes surrounding the stadium, UW officials decided to cancel the "Jump Around" tradition that had been a staple for 5 years.

Stadium security and the local police department had been informed of this decision, but no notification had been given to the fans.[10]

As the fourth quarter began and students realized there had been no "Jump Around," they became upset. Some students jumped around even without the requisite music. Then an entire section sat down in protest, a majority directed their middle finger at the sound booth, and a chant of "frick the sound guy" began. Sitting down was particularly significant as the student section generally stands on the bleachers while the team is playing (in contrast to the rest of the stadium, which sits while the team plays and stands during halftime). Chanting and booing continued through the majority of the fourth quarter. With 6:29 to go in the game, Lee Evans scored on a 99-yard play and led the Badgers to a victory, thrilling the crowd.

When news surfaced on Monday, September 8, that this event was not a technical or human malfunction, but rather a decision by campus officials, the students launched a protest. Petitions circulated and students pushed back against administration. Structural engineers confirmed that the stadium would suffer no structural damage caused by the vibrations created by jumping. Two days later, Chancellor John D. Wiley announced that the "Jump Around" tradition would resume

I'd love to hear some input from Texas fans that made the trip to the Shoe in 2005.

UF at number 4 for unruly? Heck, our alumni section can sit on their hands most of the game because of the heat and general suckiness.

blacksburg is more hillbilly than morgantown and coming from a uk fan that is just funny

I disagree. Hey, at least Blacksburg is in one of the richest states in the country. Morgantown is in one of the poorest. The state of WV is known world wide for it's hillbillies. VA... not so much. I hate both teams... VT even more so than WVU, but Blacksburg>>>>>Morgantown.

Secondly, I'm not even from Kentucky.

Don't believe it. I don't care. I sort of just laughed it off. I didn't know the guy. It didn't ruin my day or my trip.

Hokie fans are loud but not too obnoxious IMO.

WVU fans on the other hand.

Shouldn't you be making sandwiches or something without shoes on in the kitchen.
