How would LSU fans feel if we played USC 03 and lost?

I don't think the SEC would ever hear the end of it if USC had beaten LSU that year in what would have been basically a home game for LSU in the Dome.

No self-respecting fan of ANY team would claim the title after a loss. I haven't seen OU fans protesting in the streets of Norman lobbying to be awarded the BCS title after USC's vacation of the same. You get your asses handed to you 55-19, it might be better just to keep shtum.

I absolutely agree with this. I love my Tigers but I would hate to be in OU's shoes right now, having everyone reminded of the arse-whipping they took.

So Oklahoma blows up UCLA by more than USC and yet it is clear that USC is so much better than OU that they would beat LSU? Splain that.

35 points and 25 points is not that big of a difference. Besides, USC vs. UCLA is a huge rivalry game. Rivalry games always have closer scores no matter how big the talent gap is between the two schools.

Auburn 7
LSU 31 +24
USC 23
Auburn 0 +23
Pretty even, but clearly USC would have rolled into New Orleans and soundly beat LSU--no problem. We will never know.

Why exactly would LSU be wanting the title for the 03 season now? Bush wasn't ruled ineligible during that season, only the last 2 games of 04 and the whole 05 season.
