Like all LSU fans, it's been a rather dull viewing of the tournament thus far. I caught part of the Vandy vs Troy game in Nashville, and I can assure all the excitement from the fans isn't even 25% the buzz and excitement of an LSU hosted regional. When LSU hosted all those regionals back in the 90s, LSU games were standing room only affairs. This was not the case at Vandy, but I digress.

That said, I've been keeping up with it and decided to watch the TCU vs Dallas Baptist replay, and I have to say that I was impressed with DB's play. They are fundamentally sound, play great defense, and have that baseball "savvy" you expect from a good tournament team.

When I saw the Dallas Baptist catcher cover 3rd base on a double play, you had to be impressed with that kind of hustle. You don't often see a catcher covering 3b apply the tag from a throw from 1b. These kind of plays win games - and DB surprisingly is the only 2 - 0 team in it's regional.

Someone interested in Stats like say Doc Fenton(I'm too busy and lazy), should compile the various conferences for comparison purposes. I'd say the SEC is ahead at this very moment.

Well only one team can be 2-0.

Well of course - its surprising because they are the team that is 2 - 0.

Trevor Bauer has to be one of the top 3 pitchers in the country. Caught the UCLA replay versus Fresno State - he had 14Ks and pitched a complete game. I don't think they have enough pitching depth or hitting though, to come out of the region.
