Not looking to fight here. I think most would agree that [most/many]message board fans are a little more hardcore than your average fan.

Do you consider yourself a 'hardcore fan'? I frequent a few boards, and I don't find the hate in real life that I find online.

if Georgia loses - I get upset.
if Georgia wins - I get happy.

But I'm not a hardcore fan.
I know after I graduate, I prolly wont be able to come to a lot of games.

Every year I have to remind myself to not tie my personal happiness to the success of the LSU football team. It never works. I get miserable when the Tigers lose.

I thoroughly enjoy LSU football, and I used to feel physically ill when they went through the Hallman era. I never found myself hating anyone else for their teams, although it comes close with Ole Miss

Been going to Carolina games since I was young, third generation USC Alum, football season ticket holder since I graduated, go to baseball and basketball games when I can. I would say that I am pretty hardcore. My happiness during the fall revolves around the pageantry that is football in the South.

You probably can look at the number of posts to determine who is a "hardcore fan" or not...

I'm a Bama fan and have been banned from 2 Bama message boards, so I'd say I'm not hardcore.

I've also been banned from ITAT, but that's a totally different issue.

I follow Razorback athletics very closely... I probably won't care about or attend random sports such as gymnastics or softball when I'm not a student.. but my big 3, Football, Basketball and Baseball I'll still follow and attend when I can.

yea im hardcore. my mood changes depending on how we are doing. I dont actually hate others now for their team choice but ill still throw things and use the worst language possible towards them. I just dont personally hate them after its over or while im doing it.

Season ticket holder for football, basketball, and baseball; I'm at every football game (home and away), and I catch most basketball and baseball home games. 2007 Graduate, 2nd member of my family to do so (grandfather graduated in '49 off GI Bill ). I'm flat-out in lust with Gamecock sports.

Yea, I'd say I'm as hardcore as they come

ETA: FWIW, we win: drink to celebrate. We lose, drink to forget. That's my experience in the fall

Extreme hardcore.
Football and Basketball season ticket holder working on baseball season tickets but usually just go to left field lounge.
Went to 10 football games last year (all home, 2 away, bowl game). Attended all home basketball games and 2 away. A few baseball games here and there.

I care about MSU athletics way more than the average fan. I get extremely pissed when we lose and ecstatic when we win after a loss i drink to forget, and after a win i drink to celebrate.

I would definitely consider myself a fringe fan. I consider "hardcore" to not be something to be too proud of.

Yes.... I follow the big 3 sports pretty religiously.

I consider myself hardcore because winning/losing 100% affects my mood.

I tend to treat any fan with respect online and offline until they give me a reason for me to not respect them.

I rarely get a chance to go back to go to games, but I would love to. Would also like to be able to go to LSU games since my wife likes LSU.

Hardcore? No. Will you most likely see me cheering full heartedly for Auburn when it comes game time? Yes.

That is why these dumbass threads about a "scandal!!!" are so idiotic to me. Both ATPB and the Peaches story are drivel that I won't even waste my time on.

I guess but I don't really have that hard of a time getting over a loss for some reason. It certainly doesn't ruin my mood for days after the game. Games that I thought we gave away (2010 Auburn, 2006 Arkansas, etc) are the worst but even then I just drank heavily afterward and quickly got over it.
