In the 30's LSU students planted rye grass in Tulane Stadium (when it existed) in the form of a giant L S U, so that by game time it was in full green.

Ole Miss painted the mississippi State bulldog a few years back.

I seem to recall Florida Field being defaced the night before the 1978 Auburn-UF game, but I think that was done by UF students who wanted Doug Dickey fired. So I'm not sure if that counts.

Tulane students drugged Mike and dyed him green once. My dad still talks about it.

damn, all that killing of mascots sounds a lot worse than killing a fricking tree (i know, i know, its 130 years old

Don't know if it's online, but I read an official history of Bullie in an MSU publication back in the early 90s while my wife was in vet school there that recounted the incident.
Another sad story from that same article dated back to the days before the CVM started, when Bullie's care was entrusted to one of the feats on campus. It seems that the brothers weren't real good with pets, and. . .well, the diagnosis when he was put down was that he suffered from "chronic neglect".

kinda what i was thinking but everybody i am hanging out with thinks i am a terrible person.
