Of course it does, if you are a bama or auburn fan. For the rest of the nation, it's ohio state/michigan. Look at the poll. You think they just made that up?

For the forseeable future the Iron Bowl is going to a far greater game with much more at stake than Michigan/Ohio State.

Agree but the media hypes them more and it's what people in NY, LA, SF etc... are exposed to.

not even in the top 50.

It's not listing a top five either. It's asking which of these is the best.

like check out my poll.

Which of these is the best

Staind
Limp Bizkit
Skillet
Nickleback
Creed

Actually, for the rest of the nation, it's Red Sox v. Yankees. Only Michigan and Ohio found UM/OSU to be the most important rivalry, predictably enough.

And, when considering that both Michigan and Ohio are larger states than Alabama (and larger schools than Alabama or Auburn), there's going to be a natural statistical bias there.

there's much more to a rivalry than what's at stake. Look how long the Red Sox sucked for and their rivalry with the Yankees is considered unmatched

Ture. In fact, the rivalry probably lost a little of its luster after the Red Sox won a couple of titles.
