is the dumbest Coach ever. Can one ever imagine being up 3 points with 6+ secs to go and being too dumb to foul on the inbounds ball handler. Florida gets a max of two free throws for a max of 2 points and UGA wins the game ????????

a lot of coaches don't foul in that situation. I will never understand it. box out, and you win......

Not sure if you watched the SEC championship game between Mississippi State and Kentucky last spring. A similar situation State up 3 with under 10 seconds to go we fouled with 3 seconds on the clock. UK makes the first misses the second the rebound is tapped out Wall misses a 3 and Cousins rebounds and puts it in at the buzzer we go to OT and lose.

that's a whole lot more lucky/difficult to accomplish vs. just hitting a 3-pointer

Pearl has always fouled with five-ten seconds and the length of the floor and press and no foul with under five seconds, I agree with his philosophy.

I don't.
It takes less than a second to get off a good 3-point shot. I would tell my players to foul, just make sure you don't do so in the act of shooting.
