Can we officially take the "offensive genius" tag off Petrino?

I thought AR-Kansas' play calling tonight was pitiful - along with their receivers and offensive line

Has anyone outside of arkansas seriously given him this tag before?

Meh, he's still the best offensive mind among head coaches in the SEC. They'll still light up some people next year.

Yes one of his worse called games I have seen. Although a lot of drops in key situations like the end zone......He was destined to lose because he wore no hat.

You can't win in the SEC without the power running game period

I'd say that had it, but just didn't use it consistently enough, and was quick to get away from it. It happens a lot to Petrino, considering the praise he gets.

Obviously, you are a football expert and that's why you are on a message board posting your worthless opinion on Petrino's play calling. Posters like you aren't fit to wipe college coach’s asses because you don't know your arse from a hole in the ground when it comes to football.

All I know is that if Les Miles had been coaching and gotten the ball back deep in the opponent's territory with a minute left... It's a TD with about 3 seconds left on the clock.

I saw a ot of Crowton in his play calling. Get 8 yards on 1st done, loose 5 ydds on a deep pitch sweep on second down, and set yourself up for the sack on 3rd.

I was definitely trying to figure out why he abandoned the run a couple of times, but like somebody else said, if a couple of drops would have been catches and a couple missed throws would have been made, nobody would question anything. My only complaint is getting behind in the downs/yardage game by throwing when knile davis was gashing osu a couple times.

I said that exact same thing before the game about the hat. It just didn't look right.

Yes and thought why wouldn't you run Davis on that one 4th and 1 play rather than pass and where it was deflected.

I think he is a great offensive mind, though it seems he is failing to effectivly change mentality inside the locker room. It wasnt till it was to late that Arkansas figured out it could play with OSU apparently.

And theen in the clutch, Mallet uses his impressive arm strength to pierce a hole through the defender with the football................except omg that doesnt fly against talented teams.

Maybe so, genuis, but we lowly message board posters understand it's A-OK to scoop up a blocked punt and run it into the end zone for one of those TD thingies, ya know?

Which appears to be more than your alleged "genuis" head coach and his special team's hire taught your ST players. One would have thought that point would've been emphasized on the sideline before the blocked punt.

...but, then, what the hell do we message board folks know about FB anyway, eh?
