ESPN hates Auburn and only prints lies. Can't be true.

I don't think he ever seriously intended to go-he just wanted to gauge his worth. He knows it would be an almost impossible task to recruit the type of athletes needed to compete year in and out in the SEC at Vandy.

I think Vandy was denying that earlier.

"Unnamed sources" say it was a family decision. Newton, Fairley and Malzahn to return to the Plains in 2011.

It's to the point where I will almost have to hear Malzahn say it, one way or the other, before I feel comfortable believing it. This "source" shite has gotten out of hand.

You sure about that? Your threads seem to state otherwise.

shite, I can't speculate who Auburn would get anymore. I need more coaching turnovers, it gets my rocks off!

I detest Cam as a human.

I am not worried about auburn next season.

Actually, I think it would be good for auburn to go ahead and get a new OC since this will be a rebuilding year.

Seems to me that all signs point towards Malzahn being in Auburn next year. I'm excited to see what he can do with all the young talent you guys have brought in.

It depends upon what you want out of your job. If you want to be at a school where you can go to a bowl game twice a decade and the fans will be happy and win a few games a year. At a program where you see smart kids and can help them in leadership roles then yes it is a good job. If you want to be at a program where you compete for win a division or go to the SECCG it isn't a good program. Some coaches honestly like the fact they get to teach and train good strong leaders others want to win it all.

So you're saying Malzahn doesn't want to be a HC? He's not going to get a major school offer him a HC position anytime soon. It took Fisher and Muschamp years after they won the BCS NC with a much more impressive resume.

There are a ton of jobs between Vandy and Florida or FSU. Malzahn can and should wait until an offer better than Vandy comes along. Ole Miss may be there next year. Georgia, TCU, KY, USCe and on and on? He will get a chance at a better job than Vandy. Maybe even this year before all is said and done.

I was pointing out the differences between being a HC at say Vandy, and why some might find it appealing, compared to say coaching at OM or MSU which are jobs if he waits and something opens up he could easily land. Vandy is a program you look toward developing your players as leaders and people more than as players. Not saying they can't play just saying most won't go on to the NFL or CFL most will go to some business at Vandy.

I think if Gus waits and does well if MSU or OM opened up he could make that jump.
