Did everyone see this kid in his interview with Fowler yesterday. He kept referring to himself in the 3rd person. Hilarious. It amazes me how blatantly obvious the ncaa is making this thing all about the money match up (auburn v oregon). Since when is a parent's attempt to solicit money not an ncaa violation? I'm not so naive as to think that this doesn't go on in a lot of programs but he got caught. Also, when was the last time you heard of the FBI getting involved in a ncaa investigation? There is more to come on this deal I assure you. A very well respected sec writer has stated that the FBI has been doing wiretaps in the state of alabama over the last few years due to casino lobbying with politicians and different banks being involved. He believes the newton deal somehow got tied up in this. There's more to come with this story.

The NCAA has no stake in the BCS or the Heisman... why would they care if Auburn plays or not? If anything, the NCAA ruling the bad publicity that followed has done nothing but hurt them.

If so, just send your checks back to The Plains.....State can send their portion to the Newtons

Show me one case where a parent attempted to solicit money and it was an NCAA violation. There has never been a case where nothing was received our changed hands and ended up being a violation. Even in the Albert Means case he was allowed to go to another school and play without problem.

After he was ruled ineligible for a season and reinstated by the NCAA so that he could transfer to Memphis.
