Miami has dominated the Gators on the football field.

7-3 against the Gators since 1983
4-1 against the Gators since 2000

Miami 5 MNCs
Florida 3 MNCs

Miami- 3 undefeated seasons
Florida- 0 undefeated seasons

Best five year peak
Miami 1987-1991 56-5
Florida 1993-1997 55-8

Best five year peak in the 2000s
Miami 2000-2004 55-7
Florida 2005-2009 57-10

Best ten year peak
Miami 1983-1992 107-14
Florida 1990-1999 102-22-1

OOC Record against teams in major conferences since 1991 (Year Miami joined BE)

Miami 42-24
Florida 21-20-1

OOC road record against teams in major conferences since 1991

Miami 16-10
Florida 3-8-1

At their very best, Miami is clearly the better program. So why isn't their HC job as desirable as the Gators job?

Florida might be able to pay more and usually fills their stadium.

Because in the recent past they have been better. That's why. Now adays program tradition doesn't mean much.

Miami is obviously the better job because of the beaches, the hot latino bitches and the awesome restaurants.

Florida has four things everyone wants

1. Amazing recruiting base within the state
2. Amazing facilites
3. Amazing fan support
4. Amaing amounts of money

Miami has one, maybe two. Im not sure about their money situation.

It is easier to recruit to Florida because of facilities and fan base, Florida can pay wayy more money to a coach, Florida has a much better reputation (Watch ESPN 30 for 30 "The U"). Miami had their glory years but will never be dominant like they once were.

If you watch a Miami game on TV when they aren't playing UF or FSU they never show the full stadium.

There is a reason for this. The stadium is freaking empty.

Last 6 Miami bowl games:

2004 Peach Bowl Miami 27, Florida 10
2005 Peach Bowl: LSU 40, Miami 3
2006 MPC Computers Bowl: Miami 21, Nevada 20
2008 Emerald Bowl: Cal 24, Miami 17
2009 Champs Sports Bowl: Wisconsin 20, Miami 14
2010 Sun Bowl: To be played

No BCS bowl since 1/1/2004
Last conference championship in 2003

It's been a long fricking time since Miami was at their very best.

The SEC has 4 BCS titles in a row. We are the very best conference and Florida is a damn good team in that conference. One down year didn't change that.

I wonder people thought about Alabama when they had years of mediocrity between their titles?
