Let me start off saying this is not a flame. I am actually an Ole Miss grad from Arkansas

How will Ole Miss end up next season? Do they improve significantly or have similar results as this year? I am trying to be optimistic but I don't see much improvement coming next year. Good class coming in but are any instant impact players? Hard for most true Freshman to come in and dominate. Does Nutt survive after next season??

Also hearing rumors of Rebs recruiting a Juco QB. Does this indicate Stanley is gone? Thx

We bowl or we get a new coach simple as that.

Hollimon would start all 4 years if we can hold him.

Hes got to get us into a bowl. No excuses. Beating state wouldnt hurt his cause either

Randall Mackey outta EMCC who RS'd this year and Barry Brunetti for WVU. I have heard we are sticking with the spread so it would shock me if Stanley leaves

The problem for Ole Miss is even if they improve, they will still be nowhere close to Alabama, Arkansas, LSU and even Auburn and MSU next year. The SEC West is not an easy place to try and get healthy right now. I think they would beat Jacksonville State if they play them again next year though.

5-7, but we are a complete unknown considering we don't know who is playing QB or what offense we will be running.

The defense should continue to suck as long as Nix has a job.

Yea very aware of Mackey and redshirt this year. He should be fun to watch next year if he lives up to the hype. Is the WVU QB a done deal and if so can he play this upcoming season?

Also heard going after a JUCO QB that was a Louisville????

That's the kid that came to Ole Miss and then left to go to JUCO a year ago.

Kind of what my thinking was leading too. I see another egg being laid

Yeah, that's him.

Turns out I was wrong though. I just went to Hogville to see if there was any Petrino news and low and behold there was a thread about Ole Miss pursuing a JUCO QB already.

Looks like you are going after Zack Stoudt who is current Iowa Western College's QB and is a 6-5, 235-pound pro style quarterback.

What's crazy is that Houston Nutt has a thing for doing decent when his teams are expected to be crap. He may be able to pull a 6 or 7 win season out of his arse, but he'll have to beat Vandy and all of his non-conference games to come close. Doesn't seem impossible to me.

I think Nutt has to win at least 6 maybe even 7 to stay employed

What happened this season then? They were predicted 6th in the West- and thats right where they finished.

They wont be any better next season and I dont see them winning a game vs the West. Then add to that they play at Vandy and Kentucky, then have Georgia at home to deal with. They could easily go 0-8 in the SEC in 2011
